Police
Management -
Promote
effective resource allocation;
officer management and accountability;
tactical and strategic planning; and
fiscal accountability. Crime Analysis
makes use of new system resources
to react to emerging crime threats,
optimize community involvement,
and manage available human and
material resources.
Criminal
Justice –
Enable
strategies to reduce crime and
information sharing in an effort
to provide a comprehensive picture
of offender activity. The Crime
Analysis Unit is an integrated
component of the Sheriff’s
Department. It improves the quality,
relevance and timeliness of information.
Community/Business
Partnership –
Strengthen
problem-solving capacity. Conduct
community-needs assessment, information
sharing and intelligence gathering.
There is an increased effort to
reach people and increase focus
on meaningful problem-solving and
citizen involvement. A Crime Analyst
provides for predictive resource
allocation to deployed officers
when and where needed. Crime
Analysts also aide in the reduction
of crime and promote safe communities,
provide proactive law enforcement resource allocation,
decreased redundancy in administrative
functions, and support officer accountability.
