Under
the authority of the Field Operations
Division of the Yolo County Sheriff’s
Department, Capay Augmented Patrol
(CAP) program currently provides
the residents of the Capay Valley
and Cache Creek Casino area with
a specialized unit and designated
and trained deputies on a 24 hours/7
days a week patrol. Other patrol
deputies will patrol the CAP territory
in addition to the other county areas
on a daily basis.
The Rumsey Indian Rancheria Tribal Leaders have supported the CAP program through
one hundred percent donated funds since its inception. The Sheriff’s Department
has expanded the CAP Program when growth of the casino facilities created a significant
increase in calls for service through their donations.
The program has been a successful partnership between the Rumsey Indian Rancheria
Tribal Leaders and the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department for many years.
Statistics and positive acceptance from Capay Valley residents demonstrate the
overall success of the CAP Program. This relationship remains unique within the
state of California. We have accomplished a spirited level of cooperation unprecedented
in this county's history. |
