Correctional
Lieutenant David Rademaker started
his career with the Sheriff’s
Department as a Correctional Officer
in 1988. As a Correctional Officer,
Rademaker worked numerous assignments
including Officer in Charge, Jail
Planning and was the Sheriff’s
standard and Training in Corrections
Coordinator. In 1991, Rademaker
was selected Correctional Officer
of
the Year.
Rademaker
promoted to Correctional Sergeant
in 1994. In addition to
being assigned as a shift sergeant,
Rademaker was assigned to Leinberger
Center Sergeant’s position.
As the Leinberger Sergeant, Rademaker
oversaw the SWIP program, the Home
Custody program and the assignment
of outside inmate work crews. Rademaker promoted to Correctional
Lieutenant in 1997 and was assigned
to Monroe Detention Center. In
this current assignment, Rademaker
is in charge of two shifts, booking,
Compliance and the Jail K-9 program. Born and raised in Woodland, Correctional
Lieutenant Rademaker graduated
from CSU Chico with a Bachelor
of Arts in Management. He has received
several Department commendations,
including being named Manager of
the Year twice.
