Lieutenant
Martin Torres has been with the
Sheriff’s Department since
1988. As a Deputy Sheriff, Martin
worked Security and Investigations,
Court Services, Patrol and Field
Training. Martin promoted to the
rank of Sergeant in 1999 and has
worked various supervisory assignments
including Patrol, Internal Affairs,
Civil Process, Field Training Coordinator,
Training Manager and Department
Range Master. Martin is currently
assigned to the Field Operations
Division.
Martin has received numerous letters and memorandums of appreciation for on
duty and off duty actions including a Memorandum of Appreciation for evacuating
an elderly woman from her home during a structure fire while off duty. Martin
also received the Dedicated Service Citation from Sheriff Prieto and has received
Certificates of Recognition from both the State Senate and State Assembly.
Martin
lives in the Yolo County community
of Willow Oak with his wife Veronika
and their three children.
